In the matter of subsections 8(1) and (4), and subsection 13.1(1.1) of the Land Registration Reform Act (the “Act”),

Whereas pursuant to subsection 8(1) of the Act a person may file with the Director of Titles, in the prescribed manner and form, a set of standard charge terms and, with the consent of the Director, may file a set of standard charge terms in a form other than the prescribed form;

And whereas pursuant to subsection 8(4) of the Act every set of standard charge terms filed under subsection 8(1) shall be made available to the public in the required manner;

And whereas pursuant to subsection 13.1(1.1) of the Act the Director of Titles may (a) specify the form and manner in which sets of standard charge terms are to be filed with the Director under subsection 8(1); and (b) specify the manner for making sets of standard charge terms available to the public under subsection 8(4);

I hereby order that, effective October 19, 2020,

  1. A set of standard charge terms to be filed with the Director under subsection 8(1) of the Act shall be in the form that is entitled “Set of Standard Charge Terms” and dated September 1, 2011, as it appears on the Government of Ontario website, and shall be delivered to the Director; and
  2. Every set of standard charge terms filed under subsection 8(1) shall be made available upon payment of the required fee for public inspection on the OnLand.ca website on a day not later than thirty days after the day on which the set is filed with the Director.
