Prescribed Agencies or Classes of Agencies

Definition of “agency”

1. A children’s aid society under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 that is not a corporation is prescribed as an agency for the purposes of clause (b) of the definition of “agency” in section 1 of the Act. O. Reg. 189/18, s. 1.

Prescribed class of agencies

2. Children’s aid societies under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 are prescribed as a class of agencies for the purposes of clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act. O. Reg. 189/18, s. 1.

Prescribed circumstance, s. 2 (2) (b) of the Act

3. For the purposes of clause 2 (2) (b) of the Act, the following circumstance is prescribed: the child is a party to an agreement with a society under subsection 77 (1) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 or subsection 37.1 (1) of the Child and Family Services Act and a special allowance is payable with respect to the child under the Children’s Special Allowances Act (Canada).
