Amending O. Reg. 308/12
(EXPLORATION PLANS AND EXPLORATION PERMITS)
1. The definition of “Provincial Standards for Early Exploration” in subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 308/12 is amended by striking out “published by the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines and posted on the Ministry’s website” and substituting “published by the Ministry on a Government of Ontario website”.
2. Sections 22 to 24 of the Regulation and the heading before section 22 are revoked.
3. (1) Section 1 of Schedule 3 to the Regulation is amended by striking out “as set out in Ontario Regulation 240/00 (Mine Development and Closure under Part VII of the Act) made under the Act” wherever it appears.
(2) Section 1 of Schedule 3 to the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:
(2) In this section, a reference to the threshold for advanced exploration is a reference to the threshold for advanced exploration as set out in Ontario Regulation 35/24 (Rehabilitation of Lands) made under the Act.
Commencement
4. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
(2) Section 3 comes into force on the later of the day subsection 27 (3) of the Building More Mines Act, 2023 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
