Amending O. Reg. 134/98

(GENERAL)

1. Subsection 39 (1) of Ontario Regulation 134/98 is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

25.8  A payment received by a class member under the First Nations Child and Family Services, Jordan’s Principle, Trout and Kith Class Settlement Agreement, approved by the Federal Court on October 24, 2023, in Moushoom v. Canada (Attorney General).

25.9  A payment received by a class member under the Indian Boarding Homes Settlement Agreement, approved by the Federal Court on December 11, 2023, in the class action Reginald Percival et al v. His Majesty the King.

43.  A payment received under the Ontario Autism Program for autism services and supports.

2. Subsection 52 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:

19.  A payment received under the Ontario Autism Program for autism services and supports.

3. (1) Subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

13.8  A payment received by a class member under the First Nations Child and Family Services, Jordan’s Principle, Trout and Kith Class Settlement Agreement, approved by the Federal Court on October 24, 2023, in Moushoom v. Canada (Attorney General).

13.9  A payment received by a class member under the Indian Boarding Homes Settlement Agreement, approved by the Federal Court on December 11, 2023, in the class action Reginald Percival et al v. His Majesty the King.

(2) Paragraph 25 of subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by revoking the portion before subparagraph i and substituting the following:

25.  A payment made under a program to prevent homelessness administered by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing that is up to an amount that is equivalent to the amount specified in subsection 43 (1), if the following criteria are satisfied:

(3) Paragraph 26 of subsection 54 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out the portion before subparagraph i and substituting the following:

26.  A payment made by a service manager, designated under the Housing Services Act, 2011, under a program to prevent homelessness administered by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and applied to,

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
