Winter injury
Canes die back from tips down. Pattern of injury depends on variety and cold exposure. Injury shows up in early spring
Verticillium wilt
Black raspberries are very susceptible. Causes canes to wilt. "Bluestem" appearance to infested canes

Crown gall
Large tumours or galls on roots. Plant vigour reduced but crown gall is rarely fatal
