Request driver and vehicle information
Learn about the driver and vehicle information you can access with a Freedom of Information request and what’s available through other online services.
Overview
You have a right to request information from certain public-sector institutions, including the Ministry of Transportation.
Before making a Freedom of Information (FOI) request for driver or vehicle information, you should check if the information you need is already available from an existing source.
If you aren’t sure if an FOI request is the best way to get the driver and vehicle information you’re looking for, contact the Ministry of Transportation’s FOI office at MTOFOI@ontario.ca
Common driver and vehicle related FOI requests
