1. Age requirements
- Age requirement(s)
- Cadet: 7–9 years old
- Junior A: 10–12 years old
- Junior B: 13–15 years old
- Intermediate: 16–18 years old
- Senior: 19–40 years old
- Veteran: 41–49 years old
- Athletes must compete in their age categories.
- Athletes can compete in another category so long as there is no more than 24 months separating birthdates.
2. Weight requirements

- Cadet: Under 20; 25; 30; 35; 40; 45; 50; 55; more than 55
- Junior A: Under 28; 32; 37; 42; 47; more than 47
- Junior B (Male): Under 42; 47; 52; 63; 69; more than 69
- Junior B (Female): Under 42; 46; 50; 55; 60; 65; more than 65
- Intermediate (Male): Under 57; 63; 69; 74; 79; 84; 94; more than 94
- Intermediate (Female): Under 50; 55; 60; 65; 70; more than 70
- Senior (Male): Under 57; 63; 69; 74; 79; 84; 94; more than 94
- Senior (Female): Under 50; 55; 60; 65; 70; more than 70
- Veteran (Male): Under 63; 74; 84; 94; more than 94
- Veteran (Female): Under 55; 65; more than 65
3. Skill/experience requirements
- Skill/Experience Requirements:
- Pre-Novice: Less than 5 bouts or tournaments.
- Novice: Less than 10 bouts or tournaments.
- Open: More than 10 bouts or tournaments.
- Tournaments classification can be mixed if no other classification is available.
- Athletes can choose to move up a classification.
