LIM 50 is the number and percentage of people living in a household with an after-tax income less than 50 per cent of the median adjusted household income measured in 2008 and adjusted for inflation for 2009–14. The after-tax threshold varies according to household size.

Response rates on individual indicators ranged from 96 per cent and 99 per cent for the student questionnaire.
