Applications to Provincial Parliament

The Corporation Of The Town Of Erin

Notice Is Hereby Given that on behalf of the Corporation of the Town of Erin application will be made to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario for an Act for the following purposes:

  1. To provide that all prior by-laws of the former Township of Erin and the former Village of Erin will continue in effect, in their original geographic areas, until and unless they are repealed, notwithstanding the provisions of the Amalgamation Order that created the Town of Erin, which provides such by-laws would cease to have effect after December 31, 2002.
  2. To provide that the maximum speed limit on roads within the Town of Erin shall be 80 kilometres per hour, except where otherwise posted, notwithstanding Section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O 1990,c. H-8.

The application will be considered by the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills. Any person who has an interest in the application and who wishes to make submissions, for or against the application, to the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills should notify, in writing, the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Legislative Building, Queens’ Park, Toronto, Ontario, M7A 1A2.

The Corporation Of The Municipality Of Chatham-Kent

Notice Is Hereby Given that, on behalf of The Corporation of The Municipality of Chatham-Kent, application will be made to the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario for an Act:

  1. Permitting an amendment to the Meyboom Order to extend the date for completion of the consolidation of by-laws process.

The application will be considered by the Standing Committee on Regulations and Private Bills.
