Notice

Periodically, temporary applications are filed with the Board. Details of these applications can be made available at anytime to any interested parties by calling (416) 326-6732.

The following are applications for extra-provincial and public vehicle operating licenses filed under the Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1987, and the Public Vehicles Act. All information pertaining to the applicant i.e. business plan, supporting evidence, etc. is on file at the Board and is available upon request.

Any interested person who has an economic interest in the outcome of these applications may serve and file an objection within 29 days of this publication. The objector shall:

  1. complete a Notice of Objection Form,
  2. serve the applicant with the objection,
  3. file a copy of the objection and provide proof of service of the objection on the applicant with the Board,
  4. pay the appropriate fee.

Serving and filing an objection may be effected by hand delivery, mail, courier or facsimile. Serving means the date received by a party and filing means the date received by the Board.

Applies for a public vehicle operating licence as follows:

For the transportation of passengers on a scheduled service between the Lester B. Pearson International Airport in the City of Mississauga on the one hand and points in the Municipalities of Meaford and Grey Highlands, the Town of The Blue Mountains all located in the County of Grey, the Township of Clearview and the Towns of Collingwood and Wasaga Beach all located in the County of Simcoe on the other hand.

Provided That:

  1. the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a)(iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P. 54, each having the seating capacity of seven (7) passengers exclusive of the driver;
  2. chartered trips be prohibited;
  3. all such passengers shall have a prior and/or subsequent movement by air.

  1. points in the Counties of Essex, Lambton and Elgin, the City of Windsor and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent to the Ontario/Manitoba, Ontario/Quebec and Ontario/USA border crossings for furtherance to points as authorized by the relevant jurisdiction and for the return of the same passengers on the same chartered trip to point of origin;
  2. points in the United States of America as authorized by the relevant jurisdiction from the Ontario/USA, Ontario/Quebec and Ontario/ Manitoba border crossings to points in Ontario and for the return of the same passengers on the same chartered trip to point of origin.

Provided That:

  1. there shall be no pick-up or discharge of passengers except at point of origin;
  2. the licensee shall be restricted to the use of Class “A” public vehicles as defined in paragraph a)(i) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P. 54;
  3. each trip shall be under the supervision of a tour guide (who may also be the operator of the public vehicle);
  4. chartered trips other than those authorized herein are prohibited;
  5. all chartered trips operated under this licence shall be those initiated, organized and advertized by Great Canadian Holidays Inc., Your Casino Express and Leaf Express and in addition
  6. all persons traveling on these tours shall have paid an individual fare to the tour initiator/organizer/advertizer for which they will receive in return accommodation, meals or a ticket of admission.

Substitute:
For the transportation of passengers for Great Canadian Holidays Inc. on a chartered trip from:

  1. for each of the trips, upon arrangement, the seating be that the requester sit apart from persons of opposite gender;
  2. the trips not originate or terminate at any point within ten (10) kilometres of the main intercity bus terminals in Toronto or Newark, New Jersey.

So That As Amended The Affected Portion Of The Licence Will Read As Follows:
For the transportation of passengers and their baggage on a scheduled service, between the City of Toronto, the City of New York and the Town of Monsey (located in the State of New York) to and from the Ontario/USA border crossings.

Provided That:

  1. the licensee be restricted to the use of not more than five (5) Class “A” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a)(i) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P. 54;
  2. there be no pick up or discharge of passengers at any point en route between the City of Toronto, on the one hand and the City of New York and the Town of Monsey on the other hand;
  3. the licensee be restricted to three (3) scheduled trips per week;
  4. there be no charter privileges under this authority;
  5. for each of the trips, upon arrangement, the seating be that the requester sit apart from persons of opposite gender;
  6. the trips not originate or terminate at any point within ten (10) kilometres of the main intercity bus terminals in Toronto or Newark, New Jersey.
