Periodically, temporary applications are filed with the Board. Details of these applications can be made available at anytime to any interested parties by calling (416) 326-6732.

The following are applications for extra-provincial and public vehicle operating licenses filed under the Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1987, and the Public Vehicles Act. All information pertaining to the applicant i.e. business plan, supporting evidence, etc. is on file at the Board and is available upon request.

Any interested person who has an economic interest in the outcome of these applications may serve and file an objection within 29 days of this publication. The objector shall:

  1. complete a Notice of Objection Form,
  2. serve the applicant with the objection,
  3. file a copy of the objection and provide proof of service of the objection on the applicant with the Board,
  4. pay the appropriate fee.

Serving and filing an objection may be effected by hand delivery, mail, courier or facsimile. Serving means the date received by a party and filing means the date received by the Board.

    2. Lester B. Pearson International Airport, hotels located in Metropolitan Toronto, the City of Niagara Falls, hotels located in Metropolitan Toronto, Lester B. Pearson International Airport, round trip;
    3. Lester B. Pearson International Airport, the City of Niagara Falls, hotels located in Metropolitan Toronto, Lester B. Pearson International Airport, round trip;
    4. Lester B. Pearson International Airport, the City of Niagara Falls, Lester B. Pearson International Airport, round trip;
    5. Lester B. Pearson International Airport, hotels located in Metropolitan Toronto, the City of Niagara Falls, one way;
    6. the City of Niagara Falls, hotels located in Metropolitan Toronto, Lester B. Pearson International Airport, one way;

Provided that:

  1. chartered trips be prohibited;

  2. all such passengers shall have a prior or subsequent movement by air;

  3. this service shall be operated on a non-scheduled basis with each passenger paying an individual fare;

  4. the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a) (iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P.54, each having a maximum seating capacity of 24 passengers exclusive of the driver;

  5. the licensee provides a service using a public vehicle specially equipped for the transportation of handicapped persons when such service is requested and reserved by a member of the public;

  6. any service provided hereunder shall only be for the aforementioned routes, as a round trip package or a one way trip package;

  7. the licensee shall publish and charge tariffs, inclusive of all discounts, for the services described above as follows:

    1. with respect to the services described in paragraph (a) to (d) above;

      One passenger fare: the tariff published and charged shall not be less than 33% higher than a combination of the then current round trip fares of PW Transportation Limited (or its successor to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport contract to service downtown Toronto) between Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Metropolitan Toronto, and the round trip fare of Greyhound Lines of Canada Ltd. between Metropolitan Toronto and Niagara Falls.

      Two passengers: the tariff published and charged shall not be less than 30% higher than a combination of the ten current round trip fares of PW Transportation Limited (or its successor to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport contract to service downtown Toronto) between Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Metropolitan Toronto, and the round trip fare of Greyhound Lines of Canada Ltd. between Metropolitan Toronto and Niagara Falls.

      Three or more passengers: the tariff published and charged shall not be less than 23% higher than a combination of the then current round trip fares of PW Transportation Limited (or its successor to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport contract to service downtown Toronto) between Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Metropolitan Toronto, and the round trip fare of Greyhound Lines of Canada Ltd. Between Metropolitan Toronto and Niagara Falls.

      Child’s fare (for children ages 3-11): the tariff published and charged shall be not less than 25% higher than a combination of the then current round trip children’s fares of PW Transportation Limited (or its successor to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport contract to serve Metropolitan Toronto) between Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Metropolitan Toronto and Greyhound Lines of Canada Ltd. between Metropolitan Toronto and Niagara Falls.

    2. with respect to the services described in paragraph (e) and (f) above, the tariff published and charged shall be not less than 50% higher than a combination of the then current published one way fare of PW Transportation Limited (or its successor to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport contract to service downtown Toronto) either from Lester B. Pearson International Airport to Metropolitan Toronto or from Metropolitan Toronto to Lester B. Pearson International Airport and Greyhound Lines of Canada Ltd. either from Metropolitan Toronto to Niagara Falls or from Niagara Falls to Metropolitan Toronto.

The foregoing tariff provisions are exclusive of GST;

  1. the licensee shall not sell tickets for nor provide a service for any one segment alone of the services described above;

  2. the licensee shall only sell tickets for the services described above in Canada at the following locations: at Lester B. Pearson International Airport, its head office, and through non-owned and non-related travel agents or tour wholesalers.

  3. the terms and conditions set out in paragraph 1 to 9 are applicable to Part B.

Substitute, So That Part B Of The Operating Licence Pv-2477 Will Read As Follows:

  1. For the transportation of passengers on a special trip between points in the Cities of Toronto and Hamilton, the Regional Municipalities of Peel, York, Durham, Halton and Niagara and the John C. Munroe International Airport located in the City of Hamilton or the Lester B. Pearson International Airport located in the Regional Municipality of Peel.

Provided That:

  1. one-way trips be prohibited;

  2. all such passengers shall have a prior or subsequent movement by air;

  3. this service shall be operated on a non-scheduled basis with each passenger paying an individual fare;

  4. the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a) (iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P.54;

  5. the licensee provides a service using a public vehicle specially equipped for the transportation of handicapped persons when such service is requested and reserved by a member of the public;

  6. the driver/guide of the public vehicle shall be bilingual in English and French or German when such a service is required and reserved by a member of the public;

  7. chartered trips be prohibited;

  8. the transportation of passengers between the John C. Munroe International Airport and the Lester B. Pearson International Airport be prohibited.

Applies for an extra provincial operating licence as follows:

For the transportation of passengers on a chartered trip from points in the Cities of Toronto and Hamilton and the Regional Municipalities of Durham, York, Peel, Halton, Niagara and Waterloo and the Counties of Wellington, Brant, Dufferin, Haldimand and Norfolk to the Ontario/USA border crossings for furtherance to points as authorized by the relevant jurisdiction and for the return of the same passengers on the same chartered trip to point of origin.

Provided That there be no pick up or drop off of passengers except at point of origin.

Provided Further That the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a) (iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990 Chapter P.54, each having the maximum seating capacity of twelve (12) passengers, exclusive of the driver.

Provided That the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a) (iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990 ChapterP.54, each having the maximum seating capacity of twelve (12) passengers, exclusive of the driver.
