Periodically, temporary applications are filed with the Board. Details of these applications can be made available at anytime to any interested parties by calling (416) 326-6732.

The following are applications for extra-provincial and public vehicle operating licenses filed under the Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1987, and the Public Vehicles Act. All information pertaining to the applicant i.e. business plan, supporting evidence, etc. is on file at the Board and is available upon request.

Any interested person who has an economic interest in the outcome of these applications may serve and file an objection within 29 days of this publication. The objector shall:

  1. complete a Notice of Objection Form,
  2. serve the applicant with the objection,
  3. file a copy of the objection and provide proof of service of the objection on the applicant with the Board,
  4. pay the appropriate fee.

Serving and filing an objection may be effected by hand delivery, mail, courier or facsimile. Serving means the date received by a party and filing means the date received by the Board.

Applies for an extra provincial operating licence as follows:

For the transportation of passengers on a chartered trip from points in the City of Ottawa, the Counties of Renfrew and Lanark and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Prescott and Russell to the Ontario/Quebec border crossings for furtherance to points as authorized by the relevant jurisdiction and for the return of the same passengers on the same chartered trip to point of origin.

Provided That:

  1. there be no pick up or drop off of passengers except at point of origin;
  2. the licensee be restricted to the use of Class “D” public vehicles as defined in paragraph (a)(iv) of subsection 1 of Section 7 of Regulation 982 under the Public Vehicles Act, R.S.O 1990, Chapter P. 54, each having a maximum seating capacity of (12) passengers, exclusive of the driver;
  3. all vehicles shall be equipped with devices specially designed for passengers who are mentally and/or physically challenged;
  4. all passengers on such chartered trips be transported:
    1. to or from medical or healthcare facilities for the purposes of medical assessment, medical treatment or physical rehabilitation;
    2. to or from special functions and/or group outings that need specialized transport and care;
  5. the transportation service is performed on behalf of medical or health professionals or, medical or health insurers;
  6. the passengers travelling on the vehicles operated by the licensee meet the client eligibility criteria to be accepted as clients of the transportation service, including passengers who are unable to access existing transportation services due to lack of financial resources or accessibility options. Eligible clients may also include vulnerable and frail elderly clients with physical disabilities or cognitive and visual impairments;
  7. services provided shall be “door-to-door” and “on demand”.

Applies for a public vehicle operating licence as follows:

For the transportation of passengers:

  1. on a scheduled service between points in City of Ottawa, the Counties of Renfrew and Lanark and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Prescott and Russell and points in Ontario.
    Provided that chartered trips be prohibited.
  2. on a chartered trip from points in the City of Ottawa, the Counties of Renfrew and Lanark and the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and Prescott and Russell.

Provided That:

Pearson International Airport (Mississauga) and the Macdonald-Cartier International Airport (Ottawa) to the Ontario/Quebec border crossings for furtherance to the Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport (Montreal) and the Jean Lesage International Airport (Quebec City) as authorized by the Province of Quebec;
    2. the Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport (Montreal) and the Jean Lesage International Airport (Quebec City) as authorized by the Province of Quebec from the Ontario/Quebec border crossings to the Lester B. Pearson International Airport (Mississauga) and the Macdonald Cartier International Airport (Ottawa).
  2. For the transportation of passengers on a chartered trip from points in the Province of Quebec as authorized by the Province of Quebec from the Ontario/Manitoba, Ontario/Quebec and Ontario/USA border crossings:
    1. to points in Ontario;
    2. in transit through Ontario to the Ontario/Manitoba, Ontario/Quebec and the Ontario/USA border crossings for furtherance;
      and for the return of the same passengers on the same chartered trip to point of origin.
      Provided That there be no pick-up or discharge of passengers except at point of origin.
    3. to points in Ontario on a one-way chartered trip without pick-up of passengers in Ontario.

Provided That:

  1. this service shall only be provided for 2860490 Canada Inc., O/A “Receptour Canada”;
  2. all chartered trips operated under this licence shall be those initiated, organized and advertised by 2860490 Canada Inc., O/A “Receptour Canada”;
  3. chartered trips other than those authorized herein are prohibited.
