- Any day you are feeling a bit sad, just think of this: At least your mom did not name you “Ewe” — that’s what a female sheep is called. In Ontario, we have more than 40 types of sheep.

Brain teaser
In one year, an ewe (female sheep) can produce enough wool to make:
- one pair of itchy but warm underwear

Food quest
It’s cool to visit a farm, but when you can’t do that, virtual farm tours from the Ontario Farm Animal Council and AgCare are pretty darn good. You can “visit” a sheep farm, a chicken farm and many other places. Remember this website for school projects!
