  • The Land Titles and Registry Division of Ontario (arranged alphabetically), the description thereof (contained in Schedules A and B hereto and Appendix A to the said Schedules), the addresses of the Land Registry offices, the names of the Land Registrars and Senior Deputies, and the telephone numbers of the Land Registry Offices, as of September 14, 1981, are set out on pages 4 to 9.
  • Where a land registry office is located in a centre to which the Inter-City Network extends, the direct line (Inter-City number) is shown immediately after the land registry office telephone number. Note: Direct lines are to be used only by the staff of Ontario Ministries and approved agencies, as well as members of the Provincial Parliament, when making calls from Government of Ontario offices, etc., in Toronto, to designated centres.
  • Some countries and regional municipalities, as well as The Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, form parts of two or more land titles and/or registry divisions, namely:
    1. The Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto is partly in the Registry Division of Toronto (No. 63) and Toronto Boroughs (No. 64) and partly in the Land Titles Division of Metropolitan Toronto (No. 66).
    2. The Regional Municipality of Durham is partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Durham (No. 40) and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Newcastle (No. 10).
    3. The Country of Elgin is partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Elgin (No. 11), partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Middlesex East (No. 38), partly in the Registry Division of Norfolk (No. 37), and partly in the Land Titles Division of Haldimand-Norfolk (No. 37).
    4. The County of Essex is partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Essex (No. 12), partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Kent (No. 24), and partly in the Land Titles Division of Elgin (No. 11).
    5. The County of Grey is partly in the Registry Division of Grey North (No. 16) and partly in the Registry Division of Grey South (No. 17).
    6. The Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk is partly in the Registry Division of Norfolk (No. 37), partly in the Registry Division of Haldimand (No. 18), partly in the Land Titles Division of Haldimand-Norfolk (No. 37), and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Niagara South (No. 59).
    7. The County of Kent is partly in the Registry Division of Kent (No. 24) and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Elgin (No. 11).
    8. The County of Lanark is partly in the Registry Division of Lanark North (No. 26) and partly in the Registry Division of Lanark South (No. 27).
    9. The County of Middlesex is partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Middlesex East (No. 33) and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Middlesex West (No. 34).
    10. The Regional Municipality of Niagara is partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Niagara North (No. 30) and the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Niagara South (No. 59).
    11. The County of Northumberland is partly in the Registry Divisions of Northumberland East (No. 38) and Northumberland West (No. 39) and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Port Hope (No. 9).
    12. The Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton is partly in the Land Titles Division of Ottawa-Carleton (No. 4) and partly in the Registry Division of Ottawa-Carleton (No. 5), and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Division of Russell (No. 50).
    13. The County of Peterborough is partly in the Land Titles and registry Division of Peterborough (No. 45), partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Port Hope (No. 9) and partly in the Registry Division of Northumberland West (No. 39).
    14. The County of Victoria is partly in the Registry Division of Victoria (No. 57) and partly in the Land Titles and Registry Divisions of Port Hope (No. 9).
    15. The Regional Municipality of Waterloo is party in the Registry Division of Waterloo North (No. 58) and partly in the Registry Division of Waterloo South (No. 67).
    16. The County of Wellington is partly in the Registry Division of Wellington North (No. 60) and partly in the Registry Division of Wellington South (No. 61).

To ascertain the land titles or registry division in which land in any of the above-mentioned countries or regional municipalities belongs, refer to the description of the related land titles and registry divisions in Schedule A and B to this bulletin and in Appendix A to the said schedules.

  • For judicial purposes, the Provisional County of Halliburton is united to and forms part of the County of Victoria. Accordingly, writs of execution against lands in that county should be delivered to, and certificates as to execution may be obtained from, the Sheriff for the County of Victoria at Lindsay.
  • Dealing with those parts of the bed of Lake Erie, lying within the Province of Ontario and designated as Areas 1 to 6 on Plan 1551, on file in the Archives of Ontario, are registrable only under the Land Titles Act in the land titles division in which the said Areas are situate, namely:
    • Area 1, being part of the County of Essex, is in the Land Titles Division of Essex (No. 12).
    • Area 2, being parts of the counties of Essex and Kent, is in the Land Titles Division of Elgin (No. 11).
    • Area 3, being parts of the counties of Kent and Elgin, is in the Land Titles Division of Elgin (No. 11).
    • Area 4, being part of the County of Elgin and parts of the former counties of Norfolk and Haldimand, now in The Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk, is in the Land Titles Division of Haldimand-Norfolk (No. 37).
    • Area 5, being part of the former counties of Norfolk and Haldimand, now in the Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk, is in the Land Titles Division of Haldimand-Norfolk (No. 37).
    • Area 6, being part of the former County of Haldimand, now in The Regional Municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk, and part of The Regional Municipality of Niagara, is in the Land titles Division of Niagara South.
  • This bulletin replaces pages 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of Bulletin 80028. Page 2 of Bulletin 80029 contains statistical information for the years 197970 and 1979/80. Bulletin 81016 provides related statistics for the year 1980/81.
