DEEMED SERVICE OF NOTICES

Historical version for the period May 10, 2016 to June 30, 2016.

Note: THIS REGULATION IS NOT YET IN FORCE. It comes into force on July 1, 2016, the day section 13 of Schedule 8 to the Public Sector and MPP Accountability and Transparency Act, 2014 comes into force.

No amendments.

This is the English version of a bilingual regulation.

Deemed service

1. (1) If service of a notice under section 17.5, 17.6 or 17.7 of the Act is made by email, the notice is deemed to have been served on the business day after the email was sent or on the day the notice was received, whichever is earlier.

(2) If service of a notice under section 17.5, 17.6 or 17.7 of the Act is made by registered mail, the notice is deemed to have been served on the fifth business day after the day the mail was sent or on the day the notice was received, whichever is earlier.

(3) In this section,

“business day” means Monday to Friday, excluding holidays.
