EXTENDING TERM OF VALIDITY OF MOTORIZED SNOW VEHICLE PERMITS

Motorized snow vehicle permits extended

1. (1) Despite subsection 18 (3) of Regulation 804 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (General) made under the Act, the period of validity of a motorized snow vehicle permit is extended beyond the expiry date shown on the permit until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the period of validity would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.

(2) Despite subsection 18 (3) of Regulation 804, if the period of validity of a motorized snow vehicle permit expired on or after March 1, 2020 and before the day this Regulation comes into force, the permit is deemed to have been renewed on the day this Regulation comes into force and the validity of the permit continues until the day this Regulation is revoked.

Exemption period extended

2. Despite subsection 25 (2) of Regulation 804 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 (General) made under the Act, the period of 10 days referred to in that subsection is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, that period would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.

The Act

3. (1) The time period of six days referred to in the following provisions does not apply to any person mentioned in those provisions until the day this Regulation is revoked:

1.  Subsection 2 (2) of the Act.

2.  Subsections 3 (2) and (3) of the Act.

(2) For greater certainty, the time periods referred to in subsection (1) are extended until the day this Regulation is revoked.

4. Omitted (provides for coming into force of provisions of this Regulation).
