Amending Reg. 298 of R.R.O. 1990

(Operation of Schools — General)

1.  Subsections 19 (1) and (2) of Regulation 298 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 are revoked and the following substituted:

(1) Subject to subsection (3), no person shall be a teacher in a school unless he or she,

(a) holds or is deemed to hold a certificate of qualification of any kind or class provided for in Ontario Regulation 184/97 made under the Ontario College of Teachers Act, 1996; and

(b) subject to subsections (4), (5), (11) and (12), is assigned or appointed to teach according to a qualification recorded on the certificate of qualification.
