Amending O. Reg. 626/00

(Small Claims Court Jurisdiction)

1. The title to Ontario Regulation 626/00 is amended by adding “AND APPEAL LIMIT” at the end.

2. Section 2 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Appeal limit

2. A final order of the Small Claims Court may be appealed to the Divisional Court if the order is for,

(a) the payment of money in excess of $2,500, excluding costs; or

(b) the recovery of possession of personal property exceeding $2,500 in value.

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 20 (15) of Schedule 2 to the Good Government Act, 2009 comes into force and the day it is filed.
