Amending O. Reg. 760/93

(EFFLUENT MONITORING AND EFFLUENT LIMITS - PULP AND PAPER SECTOR)

1. The definition of “limited parameter” in subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 760/93 is amended by adding “the Table for the plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

2. (1) Subsection 14 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

(2) Subsection 14 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Subject to section 15, each discharger for which a daily plant loading limit for AOX is listed in Column 3 of the Table for the plant in Schedule 2 shall ensure that each daily process effluent plant loading calculated for the parameter under section 12 in connection with the discharger’s plant does not exceed the daily plant loading limit specified for the parameter and the plant in Column 3 of the Table for the plant in Schedule 2.

(3) Subsection 14 (3) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

(4) Subsection 14 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(4) Subject to section 15, each discharger for which a monthly average plant loading limit for AOX is listed in Column 4 of the Table for the plant in Schedule 2 shall ensure that each monthly average process effluent plant loading calculated for the parameter under section 12 in connection with the discharger’s plant does not exceed the monthly average plant loading limit specified for the parameter and the plant in Column 4 of the Table for the plant in Schedule 2.

3. (1) Subsections 15 (2) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the discharger’s plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

(2) Subsection 15 (3) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

(3) Subsection 15 (7) of the Regulation is revoked.

(4) Subsections 15 (8), (10), (11), (13) and (14) of the Regulation are amended by adding “the Table for the plant in” before “Schedule 2” wherever it appears.

(5) Subsection 15 (17) of the Regulation is revoked.

4. Subsection 18 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table in” before “Schedule 2”.

5. Subsection 19 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table in” before “Schedule 2”.

6. Subsection 20 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table in” before “Schedule 2”.

7. Subsection 21 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table in” before “Schedule 2”.

8. Subsection 30 (10) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the discharger’s plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

9. Subsection 32 (5) of the Regulation is amended by adding “the Table for the discharger’s plant in” before “Schedule 2”.

10. Sections 36, 37, 38 and 38.1 of the Regulation are revoked.

11. Schedules 1 to 4 to the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:
