Amending O. Reg. 194/16

(REPORTING TO THE REGISTRAR: ADMINISTRATIVE SUSPENSION OF DRIVERS’ LICENCES)

1. Subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 194/16 is revoked and the following substituted:

Reporting under s. 172 of the Act

(1) A police officer who requests a person to surrender his or her driver’s licence under clause 172 (8) (a) of the Act shall notify the Registrar of the request and provide the person with the notice of suspension required under subsection 172 (15) of the Act.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 15 (4) of Schedule 1 to the Moving Ontarians More Safely Act, 2021 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
