Amending O. Reg. 188/08

(MORTGAGE BROKERAGES: STANDARDS OF PRACTICE)

1. The definition of “permitted client” in subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 188/08 is revoked and the following substituted:

“permitted client” has the same meaning as in section 1.1 of National Instrument 31-103 (“Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations”), being a rule of the Ontario Securities Commission, as that rule read on February 18, 2021; (“client autorisé”)

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of February 1, 2022 and the day it is filed.
