Amending O. Reg. 529/22
(PART VI.1 OF THE ACT)
1. Section 9 of Ontario Regulation 529/22 is revoked and the following substituted:
Powers re by-laws, s. 226.9.1 of the Act
9. (1) Section 226.9.1 of the Act does not apply with respect to,
(a) by-laws under sections 189 and 228 of the Act; and
(b) by-laws with respect to the filling of vacancies under section 208 of the Act.
(2) Section 226.9.1 of the Act applies with respect to by-laws under section 2 of the Development Charges Act, 1997.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 6 of Schedule 1 to the Better Municipal Governance Act, 2022 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
