Amending O. Reg. 475/07
(SERVICE PROVIDER ORGANIZATIONS - SERVICEONTARIO)
1. Ontario Regulation 475/07 is amended by adding the following section immediately after the heading “Designated Services — Government of Ontario”:
Database access
1.0.1 For greater certainty, ServiceOntario is authorized to access a database that is maintained by a ministry or an agency of the Government of Ontario to the extent that is necessary to provide a service designated under sections 1.1 to 13.
2. (1) Section 1.1 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraphs:
4. Providing information respecting the status of an application for a program or service administered by a ministry or an agency of the Government, including the status of a payment under the program or service, in response to an inquiry from the applicant or the applicant’s authorized representative.
5. Providing information respecting an individual’s or entity’s account in connection with a program or service administered by a ministry or an agency of the Government in response to an inquiry from the individual or entity or the individual’s or entity’s authorized representative.
6. Updating an individual’s or entity’s information, including personal information, if the information is maintained by a ministry or an agency of the Government in respect of a program or service administered by that ministry or agency.
7. Assisting a member of the public, or their authorized representative, complete an application for a program or service administered by a ministry or an agency of the Government.
8. Assisting a member of the public, or their authorized representative, make an appointment with a ministry or an agency of the Government.
9. Contacting an individual or entity, or the individual’s or entity’s authorized representative, with respect to a program or service administered by a ministry or an agency of the Government.
(2) Section 1.1 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:
(2) Nothing in sections 1.1.1 to 13 shall be read as limiting the generality of subsection (1).
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
