Amending Reg. 400 of R.R.O. 1990
(BY-LAWS FOR LOCAL BOARDS)
1. Subsection 5 (0.1) of Regulation 400 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked.
2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:
5.1 Section 5 does not apply in respect of a local board if the plan provides that the Commission or the local board appoints a chair.
3. (1) Section 12 of the Regulation is amended by adding “Subject to subsection (2)” at the beginning.
(2) Section 12 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:
(2) If a plan provides that a chair or vice-chair acting as chair does not have any voting rights, the question is defeated in the event of a tie.
Commencement
4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
