Amending O. Reg. 79/15
(ALTERNATIVE LOW-CARBON FUELS)
1. Subsection 8.1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 79/15 is amended by striking out “or” at the end of clause (a), by revoking clause (b) and by substituting the following:
(b) the environmental compliance approval was issued through an approval process for which an environmental assessment was undertaken with respect to the burning of alternative low-carbon fuel; or
(c) the environmental compliance approval was issued through an approval process for which an environmental screening process was undertaken with respect to the burning of alternative low-carbon fuel under,
(i) Ontario Regulation 101/07 (Waste Management Projects) made under the Environmental Assessment Act before it was revoked, or
(ii) section 25 of Ontario Regulation 50/24 (Part II.3 Projects — Designations and Exemptions) made under the Environmental Assessment Act.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 3 (2) of Schedule 6 to the COVID-19 Economic Recovery Act, 2020 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
