Interpretation

1. In this Regulation,

“ODB data” means personal information kept by the Ministry about a recipient, including name, health number, drug claims history and related personal information; (“données du régime”)

“public hospital” means a hospital as defined in section 1 of the Public Hospitals Act; (“hôpital public”)

“recipient” means a person who receives drug benefits under the Act. (“bénéficiaire”)

Prescribed purpose 

2. For the purposes of subsections 13 (1), (2), (3) and (4) of the Act, the following are prescribed purposes:

1. Facilitating access to ODB data by a public hospital where the recipient to whom the ODB data relates is seeking care in the emergency department of that public hospital. 

Prescribed conditions

3. The Minister shall not disclose ODB data for a purpose mentioned in paragraph 1 of section 2 unless the public hospital is a party to an agreement with the Minister under subsection 13 (4) of the Act.
