Amending O. Reg. 665/98

(Hunting)

1. Clause 17 (1) (a) of Ontario Regulation 665/98 is amended by striking out “on the seal” and substituting “in the instructions that accompany the seal”.

2. Section 18 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

18. If the holder of a licence to hunt game wildlife is required under section 17 to attach a seal to the game wildlife immediately after it is killed, the holder of the licence shall, also immediately after the kill, set out on the seal the information that is required in the instructions that accompany the seal and shall do so in the manner set out in the instructions.

3. Subsection 40 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “A deer licence tag affixed to an outdoors card” at the beginning and substituting “An outdoors card accompanied by a resident deer licence tag”.

4. Subsection 52 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “A moose licence tag affixed to an outdoors card” at the beginning and substituting “An outdoors card accompanied by a resident moose licence tag”.

5. (1) Subsection 53 (2) of the Regulation is revoked.

(2) Subsection 53 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a validation tag is affixed to the licence in the place provided for it before the hunt” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “the licence to hunt moose is accompanied by a validation tag”.

(3) Subsections 53 (5) and (6) of the Regulation are revoked.

6. Subsection 54 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “to which a calf moose validation tag is affixed” and substituting “to hunt moose that is accompanied by a calf moose validation tag”.

7. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2011 and the day it is filed.
