EXTENDING TIME PERIODS IN ONTARIO REGULATION 176/09 RELATING TO PHOTO CARDS

Period of validity of photo cards extended

1. (1) Despite section 8 of Ontario Regulation 176/09 (General) made under the Act, the period of validity of a photo card is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, the period of validity would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.

(2) Despite section 8 of Ontario Regulation 176/09, if a photo card expired on or after March 1, 2020 and before the day this Regulation comes into force, the photo card is deemed to have been renewed on the day this Regulation comes into force and the validity of the photo card continues until the day this Regulation is revoked.

(3) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to an enhanced photo card or a combined photo card described in section 24 of the Act.

Time to notify Ministry of changes extended

2. Despite section 9 of Ontario Regulation 176/09 (General) made under the Act, the period of six days referred to in that section is extended until the day this Regulation is revoked if, without the extension, that period would expire on or after the day this Regulation comes into force.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
