Amending Reg. 552 of R.R.O. 1990
(GENERAL)
1. The definition of “schedule of optometry benefits” in subsection 1 (1) of Regulation 552 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:
“schedule of optometry benefits” means the document published by the Ministry of Health titled “Schedule of Benefits for Optometry Services (March 10, 2022 (effective April 1, 2021))”, but does not include the “[Commentary…]” portions of the document, or any appendix to the document;
2. (1) Subparagraph 1 ii of subsection 17 (4) of the Regulation is amended by adding “and before April 1, 2021”at the end.
(2) Paragraph 2 of subsection 17 (4) of the Regulation is amended by adding “and before April 1, 2021” at the end.
3. Subparagraph 14 iii of subsection 38.4 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “in Schedule 23 to this Regulation” at the beginning and substituting “in the schedule of optometry benefits”.
4. Schedule 23 to the Regulation is revoked.

5. This Regulation is deemed to have come into force on April 1, 2021.
