Amending Reg. 552 of R.R.O. 1990
(GENERAL)
1. (1) The definition of “schedule of optometry benefits” in subsection 1 (1) of Regulation 552 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:
“schedule of optometry benefits” means the document published by the Ministry of Health titled “Schedule of Benefits for Optometry Services (March 10, 2023 (effective April 1, 2023))”, but does not include the “[Commentary…]” portions of the document, or any appendix to the document;
(2) The definition of “schedule of optometry benefits” in subsection 1 (1) of the Regulation, as remade by subsection (1), is revoked and the following substituted:
“schedule of optometry benefits” means the document published by the Ministry of Health titled “Schedule of Benefits for Optometry Services (March 11, 2023 (effective September 1, 2023))”, but does not include the “[Commentary…]” portions of the document, or any appendix to the document;
2. Subsections 17 (3) and (4) of the Regulation are revoked.
Commencement
3. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
(2) Subsection 1 (1) and section 2 come into force on the later of April 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed.
(3) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on the later of September 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed.
