Amending Reg. 557 of R.R.O. 1990

(COMMUNICABLE DISEASES - GENERAL)

1. (1) Section 3 of Regulation 557 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following subsection:

(4.1) A medical officer of health or public health inspector may require laboratory examination of a deceased animal for the purpose of determining if the animal was in the infective stage of rabies.

(2) Subsection 3 (5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “subsection (4)” and substituting “subsection (3) or (4)”.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2023 and the day this Regulation is filed.
