Amending O. Reg. 767/21

(TRANSITIONAL MATTERS)

1. (1) Subsection 5 (1) of Ontario Regulation 767/21 is amended by striking out “2023” at the end and substituting “2028”.

(2) Section 5 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:

(2.1) The following powers that the LCBO had under the Liquor Control Act are continued until July 1, 2028:

1. The power to appoint vendors to keep for sale, offer for sale or sell sacramental wine, in accordance with any terms and conditions imposed by the LCBO.

2. The power to make changes and additions to the terms and conditions that apply to an appointment of a vendor of sacramental wine.

(3) Subsection 5 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “continued under subsection (1)” and substituting “continued under subsection (1) or made in accordance with the powers continued under subsection (2.1)”.

(4) Subsection 5 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(4) Until July 1, 2028, vendors of sacramental wine whose appointments were continued under subsection (1), or who were appointed in accordance with the powers continued under subsection (2.1), and whose appointments have not been revoked or surrendered are exempt from the requirements of subsection 2 (1) of the Act in respect of keeping for sale, offering for sale or selling sacramental wine.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
