Amending O. Reg. 555/06

(HOURS OF SERVICE)

1. (1) Subsection 1 (1) of Ontario Regulation 555/06 is amended by adding the following definition:

“house trailer” includes a cabin trailer, collapsible cabin trailer, tent trailer and camping trailer; (“roulotte”)

(2) Subsection 1 (1) of the Regulation is amended by revoking the following definition:

“supporting document” means a document or information, recorded and stored by any means, that could be used to determine compliance with this Regulation; (“pièce justificative”)

2. Subsection 18 (6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “or” at the end of clause (f), adding “or” at the end of clause (g) and adding the following clause:

(h) being driven by a person in the business of selling, leasing or transporting vehicles,

(i) to draw a house trailer for the purpose of the sale or lease of the house trailer, so long as the vehicle and house trailer are unladen and one or more sets of wheels of the house trailer remain in contact with the highway, or

(ii) to return after drawing a house trailer as described in subclause (i), so long as the vehicle is unladen.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2024 and the day this Regulation is filed.
