Amending O. Reg. 397/23
(VEHICLE PURSUITS)
1. (1) The French version of the definition of “Niagara Parks constable” in section 1 of Ontario Regulation 397/23 is revoked.
(2) The French version of section 1 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following definition:
«constable des parcs du Niagara» Constable spécial employé par la Commission des parcs du Niagara. («Niagara Parks constable»)
2. The French version of the Regulation is amended by striking out “un agent des parcs du Niagara”, “l’agent des parcs du Niagara”, “agents des parcs du Niagara” wherever they appear and substituting in each case “un constable des parcs du Niagara”, “le constable des parcs du Niagara”, “constables des parcs du Niagara” respectively.
3. (1) The French version of clause 2 (1) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “l’agent de police ou l’agent des parcs du Niagara” in the portion before subclause (i) and substituting “l’agent ou le constable”.
(2) The French version of clause 2 (5) (c) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “l’agent de police ou l’agent des parcs du Niagara” at the beginning and substituting “l’agent ou le constable”.
4. (1) The French version of clause 5 (4) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “agents” and substituting “constables”.
(2) Clause 5 (4) (d) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Niagara Parks special constable” and substituting “Niagara Parks constable”.
5. The French version of subsection 7 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Règlement de l’Ontario 396/23 (Questions concernant la nomination et les fonctions des agents spéciaux et l’autorisation des employeurs d’agents spéciaux)” and substituting “Règlement de l’Ontario 396/23 (Questions concernant la nomination et les fonctions des constables spéciaux et l’autorisation des employeurs de constables spéciaux)”.
6. The French version of paragraph 1 of subsection 11 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “l’agent de police ou l’agent des parcs du Niagara” and substituting “l’agent ou le constable”.

7. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
