EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Explanatory Note was written as a reader’s aid to Bill 157 and does not form part of the law.  Bill 157 has been enacted as Chapter 24 of the Statutes of Ontario, 2004.

 

The purpose of the Bill is to change the date of repeal of the Act from December 16, 2004 to March 9, 2005.

An Act to amend the
Greenbelt Protection Act, 2004

Assented to December 9, 2004

Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Ontario, enacts as follows:

1. Section 17 of the Greenbelt Protection Act, 2004 is repealed and the following substituted:

Repeal

17. This Act is repealed on March 9, 2005.

Commencement

2. This Act comes into force on the day it receives Royal Assent.

Short title

3. The short title of this Act is the Greenbelt Protection Amendment Act, 2004.
