Order in Council 1099/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has carried out a review of the Provincial Planning Statement and has consulted with municipalities, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and members of the public;

And whereas the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing has decided that the Provincial Policy Statement and its predecessors should be revoked;

And whereas the attached Provincial Planning Statement provides that it is effective as of October 20, 2024;

And whereas the Minister recommends that the Lieutenant Governor in Council approve the attached Provincial Planning Statement;

Now therefore the attached Provincial Planning Statement is hereby approved under subsection 3(1) of the Planning Act, and the Provincial Policy Statement and its predecessors are revoked as of the effective date of the Provincial Planning Statement.
