Order in Council 110/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Rayonier A.M. Canada G.P., a general partnership existing under the laws of Quebec (the “Company”), desires to continue to operate a forest resource processing facility in Temiscaming, Quebec (the “Facility”);

And whereas the supply agreement numbered 536225 currently held by the Company was approved by Order in Council 1385/2002 and amended in accordance with Order in Council 345/2004 (the “Supply Agreement”);

And whereas the Supply Agreement requires the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council in order for the Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry (the “Minister”) to renew the Supply Agreement for an additional five years;

And whereas the Supply Agreement was renewed for a period of one year as approved by Order in Council 587/2022;

Now therefore, pursuant to section 24(3)(b) of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act, 1994, S.O. 1994, c. 25 and section 11.1 of the Supply Agreement, the Minister is hereby given approval to renew the Supply Agreement with the Company for a period of four years for a supply of Crown forest resources, being a maximum annual target volume of 168,600 cubic metres, to be made available to the Company for use at the Facility.
