Order in Council 1139/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1271/78, dated the 3rd day of May, 1978, Dr. D. G. Huggins, Dr. R. J. Hutchison and Dr. J. D. Town were appointed as Coroners for Ontario;

And Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1910/85, dated the 1st day of August 1985, the appointment of Dr. R. J. Hutchison as a Coroner for Ontario was terminated;

And Whereas by Order in Council O.C. 2944/89, dated the 13th day of December 1989, the appointment of Dr. J. D. Town as a Coroner for Ontario was terminated;

And Whereas Dr. D. G. Huggins has, in writing, resigned his appointment as a Coroner for Ontario, effective the 7th day of December 2011;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Coroners Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. C. 37, as amended, Order in Council numbered O.C. 1271/78, dated the 3rd of May, 1978, be revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
