Order in Council 1208/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

WHEREAS Order in Council numbered O.C. 157/2015 dated February 4, 2015 appointed The Honourable John C. Murray as a Special Advisor to conduct a review of Ontario’s changing workplaces;

AND WHEREAS Order in Council numbered O.C. 1198/2016 dated August 4, 2016 extended the appointment of The Honourable John C. Murray as a Special Advisor to February 28, 2017;

AND WHEREAS the Order in Council numbered O.C. 155/2015 dated February 4, 2015 provided that Special Advisors shall be paid such remuneration as the Lieutenant Governor in Council may determine;

THEREFORE, PURSUANT TO the prerogative of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario, to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

THE HONOURABLE JOHN C. MURRAY, Caledon

shall be remunerated at the rate of $2,000 per day up to a maximum of 250 days during the term of his appointment, from February 4, 2015 to February 28, 2017.

The Honourable John C. Murray shall also be reimbursed for reasonable expenses in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other relevant directives and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.

AND FURTHER Order in Council numbered O.C. 1850/2015 is revoked.

This Order is effective on the "Approved and Ordered" date below.
