Order in Council 136/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council established the Ontario Health Data Program Intellectual Property Committee on February 4, 2021 by Order in Council made under section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act;

Therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities Act and subsection 76(2) of the Legislation Act, 2006:

1. Except for the chair, each member of the Ontario Health Data Platform Intellectual Property Committee (“OHDP IP Committee”) (the “member”) shall be remunerated at the rate of $723.00 per diem that he or she is engaged in duties as a member of the OHDP IP Committee, provided that the total remuneration shall not exceed $39,042.00 per year.
2. The chair of the OHDP IP Committee (the “chair”) shall be remunerated at the rate of $1,000.00 per diem that he or she is engaged in duties as chair of the OHDP IP Committee, provided that the total remuneration shall not exceed $54,000.00 per year.
3. In addition to the remuneration set out above, the chair and each member shall be reimbursed for expenses incurred while engaged in his or her duties as chair or member of the OHDP IP Committee in accordance with the Travel, Meal, and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.
