Order in Council 1448/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020, land may be designated as transit corridor land if the Lieutenant Governor in Council is of the opinion that the designation is or may be required for a priority transit project, as defined in section 2 of the Act;

And whereas all or part of the properties listed on sheet one of the designation plan number 22-04928-000 prepared by GeoVera (ON) Ltd. and dated August 17, 2023, attached hereto are or may be required as transit corridor land for the Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, which is a priority transit project;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020, all or part of the properties listed in the above-mentioned table, as further described in the pictorial portion of the plan are designated as transit corridor land for all purposes in respect of the Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, effective the date of this Order.
