Order in Council 1684/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Joseph Martino was appointed as full-time Special Investigations Unit Director effective January 1, 2022 by Order in Council 1683/2021;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 5(5) of the Special Investigations Unit Act, 2019, Joseph Martino shall be remunerated at the rate of $235,000 annually.

Further, Joseph Martino shall be eligible for benefits, including vacation, comparable to the benefit entitlements of OPS executives in the Senior Management Group and be entitled to elect to participate in the Public Service Pension Plan in accordance with the provisions of the Plan.

And further, Joseph Martino shall be reimbursed for reasonable work-related expenses while engaged in the business of the Special Investigations Unit in accordance with the relevant directives, guidelines and policies of the Treasury Board and Management Board of Cabinet.
