Order in Council 2234/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Education has appointed Dr. Carol Campbell as an Education Advisor, to provide advice to the Minister and the Premier on education policy and strategy, for a term ending no later than August 31, 2018;

And whereas the remuneration and expenses of Dr. Campbell and the other Education Advisors were determined by Order in Council 1711/2017;

And whereas the Minister wishes to engage Dr. Campbell to lead a review of provincial assessment and reporting practices in education, and this assignment could not be properly completed within the maximum remuneration so determined;

Therefore, pursuant to section 10 of the Education Act, and section 76 of the Legislation Act, 2006, and despite Order in Council 1711/2017,

Dr. Carol Campbell, in her capacity as an Education Advisor, shall be compensated at the rate of $1000 for every full day worked and $500 for every half day worked, for the period of September 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.

And further, Dr. Carol Campbell in her capacity as an Education Advisor may be compensated to a maximum of $120,000 over the term of her appointment.
