On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Order in Council O.C. 395/2022 dated February 24, 2022 continued the Ontario Honours Advisory Council as an advisory body to consider nominations for The Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship, The Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery, The Ontario Medal for Police Bravery, The Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers and the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery;

And whereas the Council is divided into two divisions: a Citizenship Division and a Bravery Division;

And whereas the Council’s Bravery Division shall have up to eleven voting members, including the Chair, to be appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, one of whom shall be designated Vice-Chair of the Council and the remainder of whom shall be comprised of up to three retired police officers, up to three retired firefighters and up to three retired paramedics;

And whereas Mike Haffner of Waterloo is a retired police officer;

Now therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Mike Haffner of Waterloo

be appointed as part-time member of the Ontario Honours Advisory Council, Bravery Division to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years, effective the date this Order in Council is made.
