Order in Council 81/2021

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas under O.C. 1801/2019, John Carmichael was appointed as a trustee of the Board of Trustees of The Centennial Centre of Science and Technology (the “Board”) for a period not exceeding three years effective December 6, 2019;

And whereas under O.C. 808/2020, Mr. Carmichael was designated as vice-chair of the Board;

And whereas Mr. Carmichael is to now be designated as chair of the Board;

And whereas Mr. Carmichael’s designation as chair cannot outlast his appointment as a trustee;

Now therefore, pursuant to section 3 of the Centennial Centre of Science and Technology Act,

John Carmichael of Toronto

be designated as chair of the Board of Trustees of The Centennial Centre of Science and Technology to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding the earlier of December 5, 2022 or the date of the revocation of O.C. 1801/2019, effective the latter of February 21, 2021 or the date this Order in Council is made.

And further that O.C. 808/2020 be revoked, effective the latter of February 21, 2021 or the date this Order in Council is made.
