Order in Council 857/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

pursuant to the prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Karen Hughes

be appointed Deputy Minister of Government and Consumer Services, effective June 10, 2019, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not extending beyond December 1, 2021;

and pursuant to subsection 3(2) of the Ministry of Government Services Act,

Karen Hughes

be appointed as Queen’s Printer for Ontario, effective June 10, 2019, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with her appointment as Deputy Minister of Government and Consumer Services;

and further that Orders in Council O.C. 968/2018 and O.C. 970/2018, dated June 29, 2018, be revoked effective June 10, 2019.
