On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve His Majesty's Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Karen Ellis

be appointed Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General, effective July 8, 2024, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding one year from the effective date of this appointment;

And as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General, Karen Ellis also be appointed Deputy Minister of Correctional Services pursuant to section 3 of the Ministry of Correctional Services Act, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a term concurrent with her appointment as Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And Karen Ellis shall exercise the powers and perform the duties of the Deputy Minister of Correctional Services in the name of the Deputy Solicitor General, Correctional Services, Ministry of the Solicitor General;

And further that Order in Council O.C. 935/2021, dated July 7, 2021, as amended by Order in Council O.C. 1222/2022, dated September 14, 2022, be revoked effective July 8, 2024.
