Order in Council 912/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the position of Community Opportunities Advocate, known as the Advocate for Community Opportunities (“the Advocate”), was established by Order in Council 1718/2019, dated November 28, 2019, and extended by Order in Council 909/2022, dated April 1, 2022, for a period ending no later than November 15, 2022;

And whereas, by Order in Council 1786/2019, Jamil Jivani of Toronto, Ontario, was appointed as the Advocate for a period not extending beyond March 31, 2022;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative power of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint persons to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Jamil Jivani of Toronto

be re-appointed as the Community Opportunities Advocate (to be known as the Advocate for Community Opportunities), to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not extending beyond November 15, 2022.
