Order in Council 945/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 51/2010, dated January 27, 2010, Dr. Michael B. Wilson was appointed Regional Supervising Coroner for the North Region of Ontario comprised of the area of Algoma, Cochrane, Kenora, Rainy River, Timiskaming and Thunder Bay;

And whereas Dr. Michael B. Wilson retired and has, in writing effective May 19, 2023, resigned his appointment as Regional Supervising Coroner for the North Region of Ontario;

Therefore pursuant to subsection 4(1) of the Coroners Act, Order in Council numbered O.C. 51/2010, appointing Dr. Michael B. Wilson as Regional Supervising Coroner for the North Region of Ontario, is hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council;

Pursuant to subsection 4(1) of the Coroners Act, as amended, Dr. Kevin Francis Miller, a legally qualified medical practitioner, be appointed effective July 31, 2023, as Regional Coroner for that part of the North Region of Ontario comprised of the following geographical areas of Kenora, Rainy River and Thunder Bay, prescribed under the Territorial Division Act, 2002, to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
