Order in Council 946/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas, under subsection 12(11) of the Public Hospitals Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council may, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care (the “Minister”), appoint one or more provincial hospital representatives to the board of a hospital for a term of not more than three years,

And whereas, the Minister of Health and Long-Term Care has recommended to the Lieutenant Governor in Council that a provincial hospital representative be appointed to the board of Grand River Hospital Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the “Hospital”);

And whereas, the Lieutenant Governor in Council wishes to appoint Rita Westbrook to the board of the Hospital for a two-year term;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 12(11) of the Public Hospitals Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council hereby appoints Rita Westbrook of Cambridge to the board of the Hospital as a provincial hospital representative to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, effective the date this Order in Council is made for a term that will not exceed two (2) years.
